Danielle BluntDanielle Craddock is the founder and director of Girls Inspired & Ready to Lead, Inc. (GIRL), a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and preparing today's girls for tomorrow through promoting academic achievement, career preparation, leadership development, community service, and a positive self-image. Since 2010, GIRL has hosted monthly workshops; career conferences and career field trips; performed community service, including hosting Dr. MLK, Jr. Day of Service events benefiting young survivors of human trafficking in 2015 and Women Giving Back in 2016; and published a book of girls' writings, Pearls of Wisdom for Girls by Girls. As an advocate for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) education for girls, Danielle has partnered with George Mason University College of Science STEM Accelerator Program to create FOCUS (For Girls of Color and those Underrepresented in STEM), a STEM summer camp for middle school girls, which grew from 18 girls in 2014 to 92 in 2016. Danielle has received many honors including, recognition as a Northern Virginian of the Year 2014 by the Northern Virginia Magazine, 2015 Fairfax County NAACP Community Service Award, and a Leadership Arlington's 40 Under 40 2015 honoree. Danielle earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Old Dominion University and a Master of Arts degree in higher education-student services from George Mason University. Renee BoyleRenee Boyle has more than 15 years’ experience raising funds for nonprofit organizations, large and small, local and national, using every tool in the fundraiser’s tool bag: annual appeals, grant proposals, special events, and more.  

The last five, delightful years Renee has been Development Director for the Falls Church-McLean Children’s Center, a high-quality, early childhood education program where young children from low-income, working families build the skills they need to be successful in school.

In addition to hearing laughter from 75 children every day, the highlights have been a capital campaign to raise funds for a new field trip bus; a United Way grant that funded an obesity prevention program, “Healthy Me; Healthy You;” and a new annual fundraiser, the Teddy Bear 5K & 1K.

Her inspiration to fund raise is rooted in her conviction that all young children have a right to the essentials: a safe place to live and play, nutritious food, and a nurturing environment where they can build the basic skills to start school on an equal footing with their peers. And everyone deserves the satisfaction of contributing to something bigger than they could accomplish alone.

A journalism major, Renee started her career as a newspaper reporter in Minnesota. She discovered the world of philanthropy when she took a position as communications director for the Minnesota Council on Foundations.

She moved east with her husband and two young sons for her to pursue a PhD in Architecture. Her sons grew up and went to college and Renee went back to school, earning a Certificate in Fundraising from New York University.

Before she found her way to the Children’s Center, she raised funds for the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Foundation for Physical Therapy, and ChildHelp USA. 
Cecilia VergarettiCecelia Vergaretti joined the Capital Area Food Bank in 2006 bringing many experiences that translate over to her current position as Director of the Northern Virginia Region. Vergaretti is responsible for the overall operations of CAFB’s Lorton, Virginia Distribution Center, including food distribution and programs. During her tenure at the food bank, she has learned that access to healthy foods, paired with nutrition education about these foods, are key components to what the food bank accomplishes and can help to accomplish in the community.  As the need for healthy food steadily increases in Northern Virginia, CAFB uses data and boots on the ground to identify priorities and areas of expansion to serve the community in a strategic and efficient way. Vergaretti lives in Fairfax County and is passionate about serving “her community.” She holds a BA from Rutgers University and a JD from New York Law School. She is a retired member of the New York State Bar.
Kelly Blanks headshotKelly S. Blanks joined the The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia in September 2015, as Vice President of Donor Relations. In this role she works with donors and their families to achieve their philanthropic goals through funds established at The Community Foundation. She is also the lead staff point of contact for two of the Foundation’s giving circles: The Future Fund and The Loudoun Impact Fund. The Future Fund is a giving circle of more than 130 young professionals that connect with each other personally and professionally, learn about the critical needs of our region, and donate to the causes they care about at affordable levels. The Loudoun Impact Fund is a giving circle of engaged Loudoun County donors managed in partnership by the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia and the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties who invests strategically within the county to promote education, the arts and the environment, and to support the needs of Loudoun families, children and youth.

Prior to joining The Community Foundation, Kelly was the Regional Donor Relations Manager at Inova Health Foundation. Kelly received her Bachelors of Science degree from Lynchburg College. As a community volunteer, Kelly has served the Junior League of Northern Virginia as the Annual Funds Director and Donor Relations Chair Elect, the Junior Woman’s Club of Loudoun on their Public Relations Committee , and Conquer Chiari as an Event Director.

 
tadlockK. Lynn Tadlock an accomplished director with excellent communication and negotiation skills. A recognized and award winning leader with over thirty years of experience in municipal government and philanthropy.

Her achievements include development of a model high school Healthcare Education Program, design and implementation of a program based giving program for one of the largest private Foundations in Virginia preservation of over 7,000 acres of parkland, completion of over $300 million of construction projects, development of methodologies and standards for municipal park systems, and securing over $6 million dollars for community based projects.

Currently Ms. Tadlock is the Deputy Executive Director for the Claude Moore Charitable Foundation, one of the top private funding organizations in Virginia having contributed more than 50 million to charities and non-profits in Virginia.

She serves on several boards including: Chairman, Community Foundation of Northern Virginia; Vice Chair, Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers; Secretary/ Treasurer, Moorefield Station Conservancy; Director Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce; Past Chairperson, Unity of Fairfax Board of Trustees; Engineering Standards Review Board; Virginia Recreation and Parks Society.

Ms. Tadlock recognitions include: 2014 Chairman’s Award Loudoun Chamber, 113th US House of Representatives - Northern Virginia Leadership Award, 2013 Trustee Leadership Award- Leadership Fairfax, Certificate of Appreciate for project collaboration - Inova Health System, Outstanding Plan of the Year American Planning Association, Fairfax County Park Authority Outstanding Service Award.

Ms. Tadlock has contributed to the educational sector serving as Adjunct Professor in the School of Recreation, Health and Tourism at George Mason University teaching Tourism and Events Marketing, and was the featured lecturer on the Tour of Bulgaria, for the American Embassy, Bulgaria.

A frequent speaker at conferences and user groups, Ms Tadlock has published articles and Op-eds on philanthropy and non-profit management, park planning, environmental land use, market trends, and policy issues.
BartlettTom Bartlett is the senior manager of the Eastern Region Global Corporate Citizenship (GCC) team at The Boeing Company. Bartlett leads all of Boeing's corporate citizenship activities across the Eastern Region, which includes Boeing sites in Alabama, Florida, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, D.C. He and the team work with site leaders and community stakeholders to manage Boeing's charitable investments, sponsorships and volunteer engagements.

Bartlett began his career at Boeing as an engineer, developing technical solutions and fault-isolation procedures for airline customers. He later transitioned into Boeing's corporate citizenship organization, combining his technical and community leadership experience to create shared value for company and community stakeholders.

Prior to his current role, Bartlett worked in the Strategic Workforce Planning and Global Corporate Citizenship organizations, focusing on workforce development for Boeing's future and current employee base. As the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) project manager, he was responsible for leading a team tasked with driving the strategy, alignment and measurement of Boeing’s STEM activities and investments.  Bartlett was also appointed as the company advisor to Boeing's early career organization, delivering strategic guidance, coaching and visionary leadership.

Originally from Minnesota, Bartlett graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with an engineering degree and a minor in technical communications. He is an avid volunteer, runner, rock climber, fly-fisherman and stone-skipping enthusiast. He and his wife currently live in Washington, D.C.
Jade Garrett lrJade Garrett is a student at George Mason University working on both her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Applied Information Technology with a Minor in Entrepreneurship. She is a single Mother to a 5-year-old little girl who is her motivation for everything that she does. Jade created the startup Positive Deviancy in 2014 when she received funds from Google to create an Open Source hardware and software solution to help children on the Autism Spectrum interact with computers. In her spare time, she is the STEM Outreach coordinator for GMU’s Engineering Department and is working on creating GMU’s first student run MakerSpace that will be opening in the Fall of 2016.

Stephanie header picStephanie Berman has been the program manager at The Reading Connection since 2010.  She manages the 220 volunteers who run the Read-Aloud Program and develops volunteer resources.  Stephanie was named the 2014 Volunteer Administrator of the Year by the Northern Virginia Association of Volunteer Administrators.  She also conducts bilingual (Spanish and English) Reading Families Workshops for The Reading Connection.  Stephanie is currently studying towards a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum & Instruction and Nonprofit Management at The George Washington University.
