Joan Kasprowicz portraitFor over 20 years, Joan Kasprowicz has been active in community and volunteer programs.  She is passionate about finding ways to improve the lives of others.

In 2004 she co-founded the Giving Circle of HOPE (GCH), a grant making and service providing non-profit.  Since its inception, the GCH has been the recipient of several prestigious awards.  Ms. Kasprowicz currently serves as GCH’s co-director.  Under her leadership, the GCH has grown to over 150 donor members and additional service members, has issued grants and raised funds for non-profits in excess of $665,000 and has performed over 3500 service hours within the Northern Virginia area.  Several other Giving Circles have been launched in the region with Ms. Kasprowicz’s assistance. 

She has served on the board of other non-profits and currently serves on the board of the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia where she helps to direct three donor advised funds.  Ms. Kasprowicz holds a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Clinical Nutrition and has held positions working at medical centers, hospitals, in public health as well as having taught at the college level.  She co-owned a successful telecommunications firm and a real estate holding firm.

Ms. Kasprowicz lives in Vienna, has three grown sons and continues to travel often in the United States and around the world.
