Katy MooreKaty Moore has more than 10 years of experience in the field of philanthropy at the local, regional, and national levels. She started her career guiding the philanthropic investments of dozens of donors at the Fayetteville Community Foundation while working on her Masters in Public Administration at the University of Arkansas. In 2005, she moved to Washington, D.C. to lead a pioneering effort at the Council on Foundations to improve the accountability, transparency and operating standards of over 700 community foundations nationwide. Over the next three years, she supported over 550 community foundations in complying with the National Standards and set the stage for future self-regulation by the field of philanthropy.

Katy currently sits at the center of the philanthropic community in the Greater Washington region as the Director of Member Services for the Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers – a powerful network of 100 of the largest and most well-respected philanthropic organizations in the area. She serves as a key connector, thought leader and a go-to-resource for the region’s foundation and corporate leaders.

Katy is a proud founding member of the Future Fund, a young professionals giving circle at the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia, which has given over $110K in grants to local nonprofits in just two years. She is an avid gardener, scuba diver and traveler. And, as a true southerner, is a firm believer that everything tastes better fried.
