Young and oldThe Community Foundation for Northern Virginia’s Margery Barkdull Memorial Fund for Animal Welfare is pleased to have announced four winners for its 2014 grant process. The Fund, which aims to support organizations that preserve and protect animals in Northern Virginia has granted a total of $10,000 to the following four organizations:

Friends of Homeless Animals:  $2,000 provide emergency medical relief to homeless animals.

Prince William Humane Society:  $3,000 to support the Seniors 4 Seniors Dog Adoption Program which matches older pets with Seniors.

Wildlife Rescue League:  $3,000 to help provide necessary rehabilitation supplies to licensed wildlife rehabilitators.

Wolf Trap Foundation:  $2,000 to develop and expand its apiary program.
