The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia Scholarship Funds

The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia holds approximately twenty active scholarship funds. These funds award approximately $175,000 each year in college scholarships to help approximately 80 Northern Virginia students attend the college of their choice.  Some scholarships are region-wide, others are specific to one or more high schools. Eligible students are encouraged to apply. Unless otherwise noted, all scholarships are for full-time attendance at an accredited college or university.

William J. Herndon Rotary Club Scholarship$1,000-$6,000Graduating senior from Herndon High School, or other resident of Herndon who attends another school or is home schooled. The selection committee considers good citizenship, extra curricular activities, employment or special skills outside of school, academic record, and financial need.May 15Herndon High School Career Office
