Robert Spencer Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund

Established: November 30, 2017

Robert Spencer Smith, the inspiration for this scholarship, was a 2017 graduate of Patriot District High School, who was preparing to enter George Mason University the following September to study Information Technology, with an eye toward cyber security or game design.  Unfortunately, he suffered from an inoperable brain tumor and passed on September 12, 2017.

Robbie’s spirit and joy in helping others is embodied in this scholarship, which is offered to Patriot students who have Special Needs (as documented in an IEP), and preferably those who are pursuing higher education and a career in technology.

One non-renewable scholarship of $1,250 is awarded each year.
