The Future Fund, a giving circle for young professionals at the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia, will present a FREE educational seminar focused on young professionals, philanthropy and giving back to the community in manageable and accessible ways. The program features a panel discussion with three local community volunteers: Rich LaFleur, Partner, Grant Thornton; Dr. Charles Thomas Jr, Program Manager, Altamira Technologies; and Julie Simmons, Managing Director, Human Capital Strategic Consulting. The panel will be moderated by Gene Finn, CDO and Assistant Dean of Development and Alumni Relations at Georgetown University Law Center.

Panelists will share their experiences and discuss responsibilities, professional benefits, and potential impact of volunteer work early in one’s career. The event will be preceeded by networking for attendees and presenters. Takes place rain or shine.
