The Martin J. Murafsky Scholarship Fund

The Martin J. Murafsky Scholarship is an endowed fund to benefit individuals seeking technical or trade training and/or earning a license in those fields.

Amount

Scholarship award amounts will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Awards are one-time and not renewable.

Criteria

  • Demonstrate financial need by providing FAFSA, VASA, or financial need statement.
  • Applicant must reside in Northern Virginia at time of application.
  • Applicant must be applying for and planning to pursue a license/degree from an accredited, not-for-profit college/university, or trade or vocational school, anywhere in the U.S. Online programs will be considered, where offered. Proof of program enrollment should be attached to application.
  • Applicant does not need to have a High School diploma but must be 24 years old or younger at the time of the application.
  • Applicant must demonstrate, through a brief essay, why they are interested in pursuing a career in this chosen profession and how this license or degree will support their goals.
