Grant to promote STEM education

The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia provides a grant opportunity to benefit nonprofits and public school systems in Northern Virginia that provide education, skills acquisition, and mentoring for underrepresented and under-funded student populations in the fields of engineering, technology, and overall STEM.

The Community Foundation will offer 3 grants of $5000 each and 1 grant of $4000, to be used during the calendar year 2020.  The grants will be awarded in a competitive grant process. Grant applications are due on January 7, 2020, and awards will be announced in February. Grants will require a 1:1 match of grant funds from the nonprofits and school systems who apply.
