Community Leadership Award Recipients
The Community Foundation’s Community Leadership Award is presented annually for outstanding community service and dedication to improving the quality of life for all Northern Virginians. Below is a historical list of previous recipients.In 2023, the award was presented to Sumeet Shrivastava, a seasoned business executive, philanthropist, and a proud Northern Virginian who believes that when young people have the tools and opportunities within their own communities to learn, grow, and thrive, the sky's the limit. A product of the Fairfax County public school system, Sumeet has leveraged his success as a government contracting executive with three decades of experience to give back to the community and region that raised him.
