Knowing the opening hours of popular stores and other stores that serve food is very important so that you can plan how to operate your store to gain the most customers while minimizing costs. For example, if you are the manager of a large retail store you may not have time to go into detail about morrisons store opening times, but knowing basic facts like when the store closes can help you run your store more efficiently. If you are planning to start your own small business you can also know when the most popular stores are going to be closed so that you can operate your business accordingly. This knowledge will allow you to have enough time to prepare your business before the big day arrives. More information about opening times for popular retail stores:

How to Get Involved Throughout the Year

We want our members to have options for how they want to be involved. Different times of the year may be better than others to invest, connect, and inspire.

Join a Committee

We have multiple committees that are all member driven to create the opportunity to invest, connect, and inspire our community and grantees.
  • Steering Committee
  • Grants Committee
  • Membership Committee
  • Communications Committee
  • Network and Education Committee
  • Capacity Building & Engagement
Join our Annual Planning meeting and be involved in setting the agenda for the year and learning more about each committee and where you may want to engage.

Join the Grants Committee & Pitch Week

Applications that pass our initial screening will move on to our Grants Committee, which will review applications in the month of October. In early November, the Grants Committee meets to evaluate applications and determine semi-finalists who are then asked to pitch later in November.

In November, we hear pitches from our semifinalist grant applicants to develop the slate of grant winners. Each semifinalist presents, or “pitches” their program, and then addresses questions from BWGC members. After the pitches have concluded, the assembled members deliberate, document feedback for the presenter, and develop a recommended slate of grantees which is later presented to the full membership for approval. All BWGC Members will have the opportunity to vote on the slate of grantee finalists.

Volunteer with Our Grantees

Many of our grantees have one off volunteer needs, seek mentors for their participants, and several are interested in interviewing BWGC Members for potential Board Positions. Here is a snapshot of each of our grantees and their volunteer opportunities.
