Linda Thomas is a mission-driven nonprofit professional with extensive experience partnering with executive leadership, Boards of Directors, committee leaders, and volunteers. As Manager of the Executive Office for the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia, she is a partner to the President and CEO supporting executive leadership, Board governance, organizational priorities, and external engagement. She collaborates with executive and senior leadership to ensure effective governance processes, operational excellence, and organizational alignment.
Her career in the nonprofit sector spans the areas of member operations and strategy, education, event strategy and planning, corporate relations, marketing, fundraising, international relations, awards and certification management, and strategic planning. Her nonprofit background includes international education and healthcare associations.
Linda earned a Master of Healthcare Administration and Management from Colorado State University Global, holds an association specialist certification (QAS), and received a Bachelor of Arts in English from George Mason University.
Linda is a proud Northern Virginian and member of Mason Nation. She enjoys cheering on the men’s basketball team as a season ticket holder. Other favorite activities include being with her family, spending time with friends, traveling, reading, baking bread, and rooting for the Washington Capitals. She volunteers her time and resources with local nonprofits with a focus on food security and school-aged children’s resources.
