Community Investment Funds
Building a Community that Works for Everyone
Support Urgent Needs in Our Community
Informed by our Insight Region® report, The State of Nonprofits in Northern Virginia, the Community Foundation has moved up and streamlined this year’s Community Investment Funds grant cycle to respond more effectively to the challenges nonprofits are facing. With rising service demands, declining donations, and reduced federal support, organizations need flexible, timely funding to stay resilient. Grants of $15,000 or $30,000 will support organizational strengthening, capacity building, and immediate client needs.
The urgency is especially clear in the food security space, where the end of SNAP benefits and the ongoing government shutdown have left thousands of families without reliable access to food. (Read our article here.) Your donation today helps us meet this moment—providing critical general operating support to trusted nonprofit partners serving our region. Give now to help sustain the vital work of our local nonprofits.
Have a Donor Advised Fund? You can make a grant to support our grants too. Contact Gabrielle Webster, Director of Donor Relations, to recommend a grant.
