The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia works with investment management firm Goldman Sachs to manage a large portion of our assets (known as the “pooled funds”). Goldman Sachs was selected after a competitive process that was conducted by our board level Investment Committee. Goldman Sachs directly reports to the Investment Committee at least quarterly and provides their experience and unique capabilities for a very reasonable, comprehensive annual fee.
