Our intention is to inform and educate visitors about our work as a grantmaker, community resource and philanthropic partner to local individuals, families and corporations. The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia is committed to honoring the privacy of all those we work with, including visitors to our website and subscribers to our electronic newsletters.Personal Information
Your right to privacy is very important to us. We recognize that providing the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia with your personal information is an act of trust. When you visit us online, you remain anonymous, as we do not require registration to view our website or access information.We may occasionally ask for your feedback via surveys or other communications to better understand your interests and needs. We will also request information through online forms used to register for a Community Foundation event. The Community Foundation does not share or make public any personal information gathered through our website.
If you are a Community Foundation fund holder and you use our online system, you provide personal information to authenticate your identity. That information is only used on this site and is not distributed or sold to any other party or site. Our secure system for donors is encrypted with Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2, High-grade Encryption (AES 256 bit) to provide security and privacy when you access fund information, initiate online fund transactions or send secure messages.
If you contribute to a donor advised fund, your name and address may be shared with the donor advised fund representative who established that fund here at the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia. If you contribute to any of the following funds, additional contact information including your phone number and e-mail address will be shared with the parties indicated below.

If at any time you wish to stop receiving Community Foundation electronic newsletters or other communications, or to be removed from our email list, you may unsubscribe from that list as explained in each message. The Community Foundation will not give your email addresses to other organizations; however, we may occasionally send you mailings regarding events by reputable third parties if we think they may be of interest to you. In such circumstances, we do not provide the organization with your information, but send the mailing ourselves. Exceptions to this privacy statement include donors to the Loudoun Impact Fund, whose contact details are shared with the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties which manages this giving circle in partnership with us; donors to the NOVA Parks Endowment for Temple Hall Farm Regional Park, the NOVA Parks Fund, and the NOVA parks Outdoor Kids Fund each solely benefiting the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority; donors to the Bruins in Action Fund, a program of Lake Braddock Secondary School; and the Plant NOVA Natives Fund which serves as a fiscal sponsorship of the Northern Virginia Regional Commission.Questions and Comments
