Tara NadelTara Nadel serves as the Vice President of Marketing and Events at the Community Foundation, a role she has held for over a decade. In this capacity, she develops marketing strategies to enhance awareness of the organization's mission, programs, and events. Tara collaborates with the team to highlight the Community Foundation's leadership in the region, utilizing data-driven insights from Insight Region®, its center for community research.

Additionally, Tara is responsible for planning and coordinating the Community Foundation's key events, including the annual Shape of the Region Conference, Insight Region® report launches, and the Raise the Region Gala, which is a significant fundraiser for the organization, generating crucial support for its regional initiatives.

Outside of her professional commitments, Tara has a deep passion for community engagement and a love for music and the arts. She serves on the board of directors and is an active member of the Woodbridge Flute Choir, where she plays flute and piccolo. Before her current role at the Community Foundation, she was the Director of Marketing and Education for the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra. Tara holds a bachelor's degree in flute performance from The Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, and a master's degree in arts management from American University in Washington, D.C.

Tara resides in Springfield, VA, with her husband, Russell, who is a music educator and composer, and their two young sons.
