During the 2023-2024 fiscal year, the Community Foundation awarded more than $10 million in total grants and scholarships.  Within this total, CFNOVA allocated over $960,000 in discretionary grants to directly support our community. Discretionary grants, funded by community endowments, enable the Foundation to respond strategically to the region’s most pressing needs, independent of donor advisors’ direction.  Below is a full listing of these grants awarded to support the Northern Virginia region.

The Business Women's Giving Circle supports programs and organizations in our region that promote business innovation, entrepreneurship, STEM education, and inventive opportunities for women and girls.

The Loudoun Impact Fund is a giving circle of engaged Loudoun County donors managed in partnership by the Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties and the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia. The Fund invests strategically in Loudoun County to promote education, the arts, the environment, and to support the needs of Loudoun families, children and youth.
