Investment Program
The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia works with investment management firm Goldman Sachs to manage a large portion of our charitable assets (known as the “pooled funds”). Goldman Sachs was selected after a competitive process that was conducted by our board level Investment Committee. Goldman Sachs directly reports to the Investment Committee at least quarterly and provides their experience and unique capabilities for a very reasonable, comprehensive annual fee. Community Foundation Support Fees
The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia charges a Foundation Support Fee on each fund. Foundation support fees play a vital role in helping the Community Foundation do what we do best - serve Northern Virginia's philanthropic needs. These fees allow us to offer personalized services to donors, maintain a dedicated team, and lead important community initiatives.
